Shannon May Powell is a Naarm/ Melbourne-based photographer whose work explores intimacy and sexuality through a gender-sensitive lens. An aesthetic expression of prose and philosophy, she seeks to challenge and abstract conventional concepts of the body. Shannon has exhibited her photography in both solo and group shows nationally and internationally, and has been widely published by national and international publications such as INDIE magazine, Ain’t Bad Contemporary Photographic Journal, Whitelies magazine and i-D Magazine, where she is a regular contributor.
